Little Renee has been to a few shows to watch her cousin Egypt do her stuff in the ring. After BIS at the Ravenna KC in Akron, Ohio they offered a puppy match. Since we were there late in the day I decided to let Renee’ try her paw at this showing stuff.
So I entered Renee’ in the 6 to 9 month puppy class. To my surprise she won Best Jr. Toy Puppy out of 7 other toy puppies! Pretty neat for a baby that has never even seen the inside of a ring. So of course we stuck around to show in Best Jr. in Match. I was amazed that Renee’ didn’t seem to mind the other bigger dogs standing next to her 13” frame. By the time it was her turn for exam she stood on the table like a pro and also gated around the ring like she owned it! The judge must have thought so too because he said “I’m going with the IG today!” All I could say is WOW! That was pretty cool Renee’!! Best Jr. Puppy in Match!
She took the show ring by storm, achieving all her single points inside of four straight weekends out at the shows! Below is a photo of her second time out in the ring.
